Position Overview
The Project Manager will plan, execute, and oversee the successful upgrade of the organization’s global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from Infor LN to Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during the upgrade process.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines, in coordination with the consultant Project Manager counterpart
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Lead project kickoff and regular status meetings
- Receive and process consultant invoices to track budget status
Governance and Communications
- Schedule governance across stakeholders
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executives
Risk and Change Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation and approvals
Training and Support
- Coordinate training sessions for subject matter experts, developers, and end-users
- Plan post-deployment support resources
Post-Implementation Review
- Conduct post-upgrade evaluations to assess success, gather lessons learned, and identify areas for improvement with recommendations
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 in project management, and at least two full-cycle ERP implementations or upgrades
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and complex IT projects
- Experience working with third-party vendors, consultants, and system integrators
- PMP certification
- Strong understanding of ERP systems architecture, modules, and upgrade processes
- Familiarity with data migration, system integration, and testing methodologies
- Proficiency in project management tools
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, databases, and cloud technologies
- Excellent team collaboration abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in French and English
- Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and scope changes
- Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Skilled in resolving issues quickly to minimize project disruption
- Skilled in managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and optimizing resource allocation
