Summary
The Warehouse Manager supervises warehouse employees and oversees the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide range of goods and assembly parts. The position requires the understanding of system transactions and inventory staging with regards to work in process jobs and sales orders and is a vital part of the supply chain process.
Responsibilities
Understand corporate objectives and use strategic thinking to deal with planning, coordinating, administration and general management issues, including supervision of staff and overseeing work organized by team leaders Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order and assembly staging and dispatch of goods with a clear understanding of work in process and all inventory system transactions Ensure inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reconciling with ERP system on a daily basis Maintain physical condition of warehouse and efficient utilization of space and mechanical handling equipment while planning future capacity requirements Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, warehouse machinery and equipment and make sure employees are trained and regularly briefed on proper use and all safety requirements Maintain standards of health and security to provide a safe work environment with proper materials handling and storage Regularly communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, employees and Corporate to ensure quality of material and delivery standards are upheld Maintain budgets and monitor warehouse expenses as set by the Director of Operations Organize all work and job responsibilities for all shipping and receiving team members Maintain building overall operation and appearance
Positional Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or related experience Experience in stock control and management Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with ERP Systems used for issuing and maintaining inventory Minimum 5 years warehouse manager experience Certified forklift operator Extremely detail-oriented Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
Essential Physical Functions
Lifting: up to 50 pounds Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Communicating with others to exchange information Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirements Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
