About the role

ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Manager on Duty include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leadership, training and management of Front Office Operations;
  • Implement and maintain all company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure 100% guest satisfaction;
  • Execute and achieve financial goals;
  • Train, support and coach staff to create a productive, efficient team;
  • Oversee day-to-day operations;
  • Representative of the management team to hotel guests, employees and members of the community
  • To ensure that proper maintenance of the hotel’s physical facilities resulting in employee and guest safety, orderly operations, good appearance, compliance with brand and legislative standards.
  • Aid in Increasing Market Share by knowing the hotel’s position to the local competition and ensuring that plans are implemented to improve that position by maximize hotel sales.
  • Reports and follows procedures with regards to any injuries and accidents in the workplace, instructs staff to follow safe working practices and enforces Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all appropriate systems and controls are in place to produce accurate reports for management and Ownership when required.
  • Implement and maintain all company policies and procedures;
  • Purchasing, inventory and other controls.

COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

  • Proven track record in revenue management, exceeding market share and sales targets.
  • Must be a results oriented, hands-on leader with high ethics, personal accountability and a proven track record of being an exceptional communicator, coach and mentor to ensure high performance and superior customer service delivery.
  • Must be able to delegate responsibilities, organize projects, and establish priorities consistent with hotel objectives.
  • Experience with Choice Advantage Property Management System preferred, but will train successful candidate
  • Detail oriented

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $63,000 (salary + performance-based bonus for eligible positions). The pay range for this position takes into account multiple factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; education and certifications, work location and other business and organizational needs. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
