The incumbent is responsible for driving trade spend optimization to help the commercial team profitably ‘win more decisions’ and ‘partner to win’ with retailers through fact-based persuasive selling. They will also be responsible for enhancing the customer planning process and leveraging analytics to optimize the efficiency of our trade investments.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Insights

Analyze sales, pricing, and promotional data to identify revenue growth opportunities

Maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing, trade spend, and profitability in Springboard and Power BI

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes and analytics to enable more effective evaluation of market activities

Pricing Strategy

Conduct financial reviews and pricing analysis to inform pricing decisions

Build financial models to simulate the impact of pricing and promotional changes and innovation strategies

Support the development and execution of pricing strategies across products and channels

Promotional Effectiveness

Evaluate the ROI of trade promotions and recommend optimization strategies

Partner with sales and marketing teams to design effective promotional plans

Annual Planning Process

Update key tools to support the annual sales planning process

Provide support to sales teams where needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with finance, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align on revenue growth initiatives

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership where needed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

College/University Education, preferably in Business or Economics

1-2 years of prior CPG experience, with focus in Trade Marketing/Revenue Management (preferred), Sales or Finance

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel)

Experience with Power BI is considered an asset

Experience with Retailer Data Platforms considered an asset (LDIA, RetailLink, Circana, Springboard)

Results-oriented analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities

Proven ability to prioritize projects, strong initiative and adaptability to change

Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively at all levels within the organization

Ability to Influence the decision-making process

Ability to successfully work within and promote a team environment
