High Profile Security Guard - Downtown Vancouver Shopping Mall
We are currently looking for High Profile Security Guards to join our team for a shopping centre site in Downtown Vancouver. This is an on-call position with full-time hours provided and room for growth. You will be responsible for covering various shifts throughout the week.
Shift Availability: Must be open to work any 5-days of the week (Sun-Sat), either Graveyards (0000-0800hrs), OR Mornings & Afternoons.
You are a good fit if you have:
- A valid BC Security Worker License
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in security or customer service
- Customer service experience in Downtown Vancouver is an asset
- Experience handling aggression or dealing with incidents independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong comprehension and report writing ability
- Good work ethic and professional deportment
- Cheerful and helpful customer service approach
- Physically fit - walking 20k-30k steps per shift is expected
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- AST certification is an asset

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting regular foot patrols throughout the site
- Handling evictions and interacting with individuals under the influence
- Daily interaction with police, public, clients, and tenants
- Managing situations involving narcotics and aggressive behavior
- Writing detailed incident reports
- Monitoring CCTV and communicating via radio
- Enforcing property rules and bylaws
- Supporting emergency responders as needed
