Position Overview :Our client is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead the continued growth and operational excellence of our Group Benefits division. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing advisory firm in a pivotal leadership role where you will influence business strategy, drive client success, and help shape the future of the benefits practice
. The ideal candidate combines deep group benefits expertise with strong customer relation management, operational discipline, and a growth-oriented mindset. This role is highly hands-on and will initially focus on execution, client advisory, and process development, while providing a clear pathway toward broader strategic leadership responsibilitie
s. What Will You Be Doi
ng? Drive execution of growth initiatives across the Group Benefits portfo lio.Generate new business opportunities through referrals, client relationships, and marketing chann els.Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, partnerships, administrative hiring, and potential M&A opportunit ies.Monitor and improve key performance metrics including revenue growth, retention, profitability, and client outco mes.Serve as a trusted advisor on complex group benefits matters, renewals, and plan design strateg ies.Develop innovative benefits solutions that optimize client value while managing co sts.Participate in carrier negotiations and market positioning initiati ves.Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key client stakehold ers.Establish and strengthen relationships with insurance carriers and strategic partn ers.Negotiate pricing, plan design enhancements, and renewal te rms.Evaluate emerging carrier solutions, products, and industry offeri ngs.Monitor carrier performance and service delivery standa rds.Maintain strong client relationships and achieve retention targets across the portfo lio.Ensure all client profiles and records remain current and compli ant.Oversee onboarding, quarterly reporting, renewal communications, and documentation standa rds.Lead renewal processes, including market reviews, pricing negotiations, and client presentati ons.Ensure all client activities and interactions are accurately maintained within Zoho CRM (Advisor IQ).Drive adherence to established sales, service, and documentation standa rds.Support servicing activities when required and continuously improve workflows and operational efficie ncy.Lead monthly sales and performance review meetings using KPI dashboards and reporting metr ics.Manage team priorities, productivity, and performance report ing.Coach, mentor, and develop benefits team memb ers.Support recruitment and team expansion as the division gr ows.Establish accountability frameworks, service standards, and performance benchma
rks. Must H aves:Must have Active Life & Accident/Sickness Insurance Lic ense.5+ years of progressive experience in Group Benefits within a brokerage, insurance carrier, consulting, or advisory environ ment.Strong technical knowledge of group benefits, renewals, plan design, pricing, and carrier manage ment.Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering exceptional client ser vice.Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and documenta tion.Experience using CRM systems and maintaining disciplined client rec ords.Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environ ment.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building sk ills.Leadership experience coaching, mentoring, or managing team mem
bers.
