Emily Carr University of Art + Design, established in 1925, is a world-renowned learning and research community located on unceded, traditional and ancestral xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territories in Vancouver, Canada.

We have four university faculties (Audain Faculty of Art, Faculty of Culture + Community, Ian Gillespie Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media, and Jake Kerr Faculty of Graduate Studies) which, together with the Aboriginal Gathering Place, Ron Burnett Library + Learning Commons, Shumka Centre for Creative Entrepreneurship, Libby Leshgold Gallery, READ Books, and the research centres and workshops in our new state-of-the-art, custom-built campus, offer vibrant and robust conditions for the development of practice-based and practice-led research and education.

ABOUTOURHIRING****PROCESS
After the application period closes, applications will be reviewed by selection committees for each program area. Shortlisted applicants new to Emily Carr will be contacted for interviews, and successful candidates will be contacted regarding course offers beginning in June 2026. Please note that only course offers issued by Human Resources are official and remain subject to course enrollment.
Non-regular faculty must be physically located within British Columbia while teaching and delivering courses for Emily Carr University, including online and hybrid courses.
