Type: Regular Full-time Employee
Schedule: Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: North York, ON (no capabilities for remote or hybrid work)

The Role:
The Clinic Assistant will assist in assessment and care of patients referred for diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders in accordance with Toronto Memory Program policies and procedures
Key Accountabilities:
Work in conjunction with physicians and other members of the clinic team to:

Assess and record vital signs

Perform formal psychometric testing (in person and remotely when required)

Conduct informal cognitive and behavioural assessments
-
Obtain selected medical information
-
Assist in case management including linkage of patients to community supports

Document information in clinic charts and forms
-
Ensure patient safety and confidentiality
-
Ensure appropriate set up and maintenance of clinic rooms
-
Participate in Toronto Memory Program meetings
-
Participate in clinic projects as required
-
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and customer service focus
- A high degree of professionalism (discretion, judgement, diplomacy and tact)
- Background in healthcare an asset
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders an asset
- B.Sc. or related degree an asset
