About the role
Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for a sheet metal journeyman who is looking to grow in their career. This role would be working on commercial projects and residential mid-rise projects. Responsibilities
- Perform ductwork installations, repair, maintenance, and service individually, and as part of a team.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
- Measure and order material as required.
- Complete required documentation (i.e. electronic timesheets, job reports etc.) for services performed.
- Work respectfully with other sub-trades and site super.
- Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal.
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.
- Provide services to both internal and external customers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Using hand and power tools including grinders, wire cutters, power drills, shears, etc.
- Instruct and train apprentices.
Qualifications
- A proven systematic and organized approach to multitasking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- Journeyman Ticket.
- 4+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional and exceptional communication skills, both written & oral.
- Provide services to both internal and external customers.
Compensation & Benefits: Local 280 Union:
- Overtime Pay
- Excellent Benefits and Pension plan.
- Company vehicle and gas card for qualified employees
- Above industry average wages
- Wage/Salary – Determined by Union Contract. $48.15 per hour
- 12% Vacation and 5.7% Pension paid for by employer.
