About the role

Job Description Reporting to the WWTP & BioGas Facility Manager, the WWTP & BioGas Operator will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, “Can Do” attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Hourly wage : $26.31

Responsibilities

  • Daily operation of a Level IV Wastewater Treatment facility on a rotating shift basis;
  • Daily operation of a “State of the Art” BioGas Facility;
  • Daily housekeeping of both plants;
  • Daily monitoring of well water and water tanks;
  • Laboratory testing for internal use and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting maintenance personnel as required.

Qualifications

  • Community College or University Degree in a science background.
  • Must Possess a diploma or degree in science, with a focus in Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Science
  • Wastewater Treatment Certification would be considered an asset.
  • Previous industry experience would be considered an asset;
  • Exposure to laboratory and maintenance environments would be considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Clear understanding and dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • Clear understanding of Safety standards.
  • Ability to analyze and present information effectively and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
