Job Description Reporting to the WWTP & BioGas Facility Manager, the WWTP & BioGas Operator will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, “Can Do” attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
- Hourly wage : $26.31
Responsibilities
- Daily operation of a Level IV Wastewater Treatment facility on a rotating shift basis;
- Daily operation of a “State of the Art” BioGas Facility;
- Daily housekeeping of both plants;
- Daily monitoring of well water and water tanks;
- Laboratory testing for internal use and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting maintenance personnel as required.
Qualifications
- Community College or University Degree in a science background.
- Must Possess a diploma or degree in science, with a focus in Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Science
- Wastewater Treatment Certification would be considered an asset.
- Previous industry experience would be considered an asset;
- Exposure to laboratory and maintenance environments would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills.
- Clear understanding and dedication to meeting deadlines.
- Clear understanding of Safety standards.
- Ability to analyze and present information effectively and accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
