SUMMARY
Sales Support Supervisor is responsible for Developing and implementing effective processes while coaching & managing the Team to ensure targets set according to CMA CGM local and global Sales strategy are met. The the sales support team processes pricing proposals to customers managed by the Outside Sales and Specialised Sales, following up with customers to provide support on commercial matters.
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Guides, coaches, motivates and supports staff.
- Ensure the team supports & guide Customers to effectively use of CMA CGM’s digital tool for quotations.
- Maintain quotes and business support to the Customer portfolio mapped to the Outside Sales & Specialized Sales and digitalized customers
- Drive the team to make proactive telephone sales calls to follow up with customers on quotations and sell/discuss maritime and non-maritime products as per CMA CGM strategy.
- Maintain achievement of the team KPIs on opportunities, competitive intelligence and pipeline
- Ensure the team contributes towards effective Dispute resolution relating to Freight and DDSM claims for Customers managed/quoted by the team.
- Coordinate closely with Trade / Pricers to ensure consistent business support to Customers as required commercially.
- Ensure the Team proposes volume potential & new opportunities to the Inside & Outside Sales team as and when we receive interesting leads or new Customers that need to be prospected.
- Collect market information on the competition’s activities regarding rates, new & existing services, and submit to your respective Pricer / Trade Manager / Reporting Manager on a consistent basis.
- Manage the team directly and transversally, to achieve business objectives and follow up with your team’s performance through the corporate dashboards/ tools provided and propose corrective measures when necessary.
- Regular contact with others functions to drive strategy, set commercial actions and ensure good communication flow to your team with the Sales Effectiveness Manager, the Regional Managers, Trade managers or Other department Managers.
- Promote improved partnerships and best practices when closing deals with customers: Long term agreements / Mutual commitments / Match back programs / Value added services.
- Work closely with customers, internal departments and overseas as partners in resolving issues and creating strong relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
All Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Canada (valid work permit, permanent residency or citizenship)

Education: College degree or equivalent (Transportation courses/schooling an asset)

Experience: 3 years of experience in the shipping industry
