About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation of all vehicles and equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Conduct daily Field Level Risk Assessments & Tailboards.
- Abide by rules and requirements while on customers or GFL property.
- Complete all necessary paperwork ex: FLRA, Manifest, BOL’s, ER Reports.
- Equipment checks daily/weekly/monthly.
- Maintain P.P.E inventory on ER trailers
- Minor maintenance on equipment as required.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Weekend work as scheduled or required.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- Valid AZ or ARZ (MT) License.
- Confine Space Entry and Rescue Certificate.
- HazMat Technician Level Training
- WHIMIS/TDGA/ REG 347.
- First Aid/CPR TRAINING.
- Experience and strong knowledge of tractor trailers, vacuum trucks, tankers and roll off trucks.
- Experience and strong knowledge of excavation equipment.
- Demonstrates a safe operating record (clean CVOR).
- No attendance or progressive discipline issues.
- Effective communication skills.
