Position Description

Working collaboratively within an inter-professional team you will provide family-centered cardio-respiratory care to infants and children.

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic support in the treatment and management of infants and children with cardio-respiratory compromise
  • Collaborate with the health care team to develop and implement a patient care plan and provide education and support to all involved in the continuum of care
  • Support our mission of excellence in health care, research and teaching by sharing your knowledge, expertise and experience with other health care professionals and striving to integrate research into practice

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • BSc or equivalent preferred
  • Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
  • Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada exam (HPTC) administered by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists
  • Pediatric ICU experience preferred
  • Professionalism and attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, time management, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player who is highly motivated, self-directed, pro-active and able to take initiative
  • Demonstrates commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.
