Duties
The Chief of Business Operations leads a diverse team providing customer services in finance, administration, housing, front desk operations, maintenance, and complaint resolution.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To ✍ Manage financial services by developing budgets, projections, and local financial plans; analyze performance using financial systems, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
✍ Oversee office operations, including procurement, equipment and supplies, and records management.
✍ Monitor and analyze tenant complaints, coordinate with experts, and track resolutions.
✍ Collect and validate information, draft proposals, and develop local procedures to support customer-focused housing services.
✍ Identify and resolve issues before they escalate into formal complaints, researching and applying approaches as needed.
✍ Provide advice on policies, processes, and agreements.

As a Special Operating Agency reporting to the Department of National Defence (DND),CFHA contributes to the quality of life of CAF members and their families through the provision of housing services, and through the responsible and sustainable management of the Department’s housing infrastructure. We are a team of 380 federal public servants who work hard to meet the needs of the Canadian Armed Forces families living in DND housing. We have close to 230 employees at our Housing Services Centers across Canada and 150 employees at our Head Office in Ottawa.
CFHA Borden is a dynamic team of 12 full-time employees. We work together to provide housing services to approximately 675 Canadian Forces families. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates will be established with different language requirements, including bilingual (BBB/BBB) and English Essential, and for different tenures (temporary and permanent) at the CFHA Borden office.

AEX3. Experience working with a computerized financial management administration system such as Oracle.
