The Opportunity
Mawer Investment Management is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in QA or software development, strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills, and a passion for test automation. You’ll be part of a collaborative, agile team building high-impact applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This is a great opportunity to help establish and grow robust, scalable automated testing practices that ensure product quality from the ground up.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using TypeScript/JavaScript
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms
- Collaborate closely with product owners and developers to improve code quality and testability
- Identify, document, and track defects; ensure timely resolution with the development team
- Participate in design and code reviews to identify quality issues and ensure coding standards are met
- Continuously improve QA tools, processes, and best practices
- Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute to multiple project streams
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA and automation
Desired Qualifications
- 3-8 years of professional experience in QA or software development, with a strong focus on automation
- Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience with Playwright or similar frameworks is an asset
- Strong understanding of functional and performance testing methodologies
- Fast learner, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; thrives in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
