About the Job
The Care Aide:
-
Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living
-
Assists with patient mobility, transfers and related equipment
-
Performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration
-
Performs housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
-
Observes and report changes in patient progress, symptoms and condition
-
Performs clerical duties and other related duties
As the Care Aide you will work as a key team member of an interdisciplinary team that provides patient care within the hospital. Working under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s, Care Aides follow established care plans and routines to deliver the best patient care possible.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00 and 23:00 to 07:00 hours.
