About the role
Job Description The Configuration and Data Specialist II maintain documents and data accuracy within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool. This role is responsible for sourcing data from diverse stakeholders and recording and configuring it in the system.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver. What You'll Do
- Maintains data accuracy and integrity within PLM toolsets identifying potential risks, process inconsistencies and quality issues.
- Creates new documentation, manages document metadata and progression of documents via document lifecycle management.
- Manages the receipt, review/approval and configuration of technical data from vendors through the supply chain department.
- Communicate with Engineers, Vendors, Supply Chain, Production departments and other cross functional departments via email and meetings to resolve issues and provide guidance as required.
- Manages customer deliverable correspondence and coordinates associated review/approval workflow process.
- Processes transmittals of project documentation to and from customer/suppliers and maintains approval status.
- Supports training for external and internal users on PLM tools. Addresses system user questions related to PLM toolsets.
- Performs additional duties as required.
What you'll bring
- Diploma or Certification in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience (Manufacturing industry preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with large data sets (Aras preferred).
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tools (Aras preferred).
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
- Ability to process detailed information consistently.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Interpersonal skills including problem solving.
- Customer service and organizational skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada reliability screening or security clearance.
- Ability to be registered with the Controlled Goods Directorate for access to Regulatory Controlled Technology.

The estimated salary for this position is $78,300 - $95,700. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
