THE OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, the Manager will be responsible for the implementation of strategies, programs and services that support the mission, vision and value proposition of the Cenovus Centre of Excellence in Sales and Supply Chain Management. The Centre's mission is to inspire and develop leaders in sales and supply chain management. The Centre has a vision to contribute to the success of Newfoundland and Labrador's economy by developing a capable and responsible sales and supply chain community. It provides inspiration, resources, experiential learning and research opportunities to facilitate the development of expertise and the building of capacity in sales and supply chain management. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Developing, coordinating and managing sales and supply chain management experiential learning activities, new curriculum, executive training and applied research projects to address sales and supply chain management problems and opportunities within industry.
  • Promoting the Centre's activities and capabilities.
  • Building relationships with and regularly engaging with internal and external stakeholders, which include, but are not limited to, professional and industry associations, local supply and service community, funding agencies, the Gardiner Centre, Embark, and the Centre's advisory board.
  • Supporting the Dean's and Senior Development Officer's fundraising efforts.
  • Tracking the progress of the Centre and reporting it to relevant stakeholders.
  • Managing the renewal of existing funding agreements and supporting new funding proposals that will ensure the Centre's long-term sustainability and viability.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Relevant experience (3-5 years) in industry, supply chain management, sales and marketing, project management, and/or program management; completion of a post-secondary degree in business administration, supply chain management, sales and/or marketing is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The ideal candidate will be a visionary with exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with industry, government, faculty, students, and other key stakeholders. The incumbent will be resourceful, proactive, and adept at identifying and seizing opportunities that advance the Centre’s mission.

SALARY $74,288 - $96,297 per annum (Management and Professional)
