Job Description
Work involving the performance of various manual tasks related to the cleanliness and maintenance of City
buildings such as: arenas, civic center (mall, pool and City Hall), library and chalets in City parks.
EXAMPLES OF TASKS PERFORMED
– Cleaning and general upkeep of surfaces
– Assembles and dismantles chairs and tables for meetings and other activities;
– Transport boxes, filing cabinets and other furniture;
– Cleaning of windows and display cases;
– Dusting of woodwork, furniture, electrical, electronic and computer equipment;
– Performs minor general repairs;
– Changing waste garbage cans and recycling bins;
– Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks and other frequently touched surfaces;
– Use of any electrical or mechanical equipment required for the tasks to be performed ( vacuuming and carpet cleaning, mopping, stripping and polishing floors);
– All other related tasks.
Qualifications required
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Two (2) years’ experience in a similar position;
– French; Basic knowledge of English;
– Valid class 5 driver’s license;
Employment status
– Temporary position, part time, 16 hours/week
– Hourly salary: $31.07 – as per the effective collective agreement
– Weekend premium: $1.41 per hour
– Schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 10h00 to 18h00.
