Synopsis of the role
We are seeking a Software Development Director to lead the JLR development team. This key role requires a technical leader capable of managing the software development lifecycle, ensuring strict compliance with Equifax's security and governance requirements, steering cloud infrastructure projects in GCP, and collaborating closely with external business partners. You will be responsible for balancing the technical constraints of legacy applications with upcoming major technological transformation goals.
What you will do
- Oversee the inventory and maintenance of the current infrastructure hosted primarily on Azure
- Maintain architectural, data flow, network and applications documentation
- Work closely with JLR stakeholders to manage the product roadmap and prioritize the backlog for JLR products
- Set priorities for the engineering team and coordinate work activities with other IT teams (SRE, Network, Security)
- Lead the major technological transformation of JLR applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) planned for 2026-2027
- Ensure compliance with numerous Equifax security controls
- Assess risks and document compensating controls for vulnerabilities that cannot be immediately remediated
- Coordinate responses and provide evidence during internal and external audits
- Support the engineer team to troubleshoot incident and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure issues do not recur
- Ensure alignment between technology solutions and business strategy.
What experience you need :
- 5+ years of proven experience with Cloud technologies (particularly Azure and GCP) and microservices architectures.
- 5 years of experience in C#, .Net.
- 8+ years of proven leadership experience as a director or team lead, including project budget and resource management.
- Deep understanding of highly regulated environments, change management processes and deployment pipelines.
- Identify and evaluate new data sources relevant to the real estate sector to enhance the value proposition of JLR's product offerings
- French/English bilingualism is preferred for interactions with Equifax Inc. and global partners.
- Bachelor's Degree
