Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment used in construction, mining, and other industries. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment, including aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and forklifts
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
