To be successful in this role, you would typically need:

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Midwifery (Health Sciences) or assessed through a Prior Learning and Experience Assessment (PLEA) program within a Canadian province,
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in delivering midwifery care as a primary care provider.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Standard First Aid, CPR (level C)
  • Eligible for professional licensing in accordance with the Midwifery Profession Act
  • Must be credentialed and eligible for privileges in accordance with the Medical and Professional Staff Bylaws

The GNWT offers a competitive salary, the range for this role is $121K - $145K , relocation assistance, professional development opportunities, cost of living allowances of $7,273 in Fort Smith, a generous defined benefit pension plan, various leave options, and health/dental benefits! The successful applicant will also receive a $11k supplement upon hire!
