L'OPPORTUNITÉ

Ce poste a été nouvellement créé pour soutenir l'équipe en raison de l'augmentation du nombre de projets en cours. C'est une période excitante pour se joindre à Scalia. Le poste consiste à prendre en charge les processus de conformité comptable et fiscal, dont la préparation des dossiers de fin d’année pour chacune des entités de Scalia, et à effectuer différentes analyses.

RESPONSABILITÉS

• Prendre en charge le processus de fermeture mensuel des livres comptables;
• Préparer les écritures de journal complexes;
• Préparer les états financiers mensuels et trimestriels (lorsqu’applicables) internes;
• Prendre en charge le processus de fin d’année financière ainsi que la coordination des travaux avec les auditeurs (lorsqu’applicable);
• Coordonner les travaux de production des déclarations fiscales avec les fiscalistes externes et fournir l’information lors de vérifications fiscales;
• Analyser et expliquer les écarts entre le réel, le budget et les projections;
• Effectuer le suivi des CAPEX et immobilisation;
• Superviser les activités des techniciens dont il a la charge

COMPÉTENCES ET APTITUDES

• Baccalauréat en comptabilité;
• Titre comptable (CA, CPA, CMA, ou CGA);
• Minimum 3-5 années d’expérience en comptabilité;
• Expérience en gestion de personnel;
• Expérience quant à la prise en charge et la livraison de dossiers;
• Expérience dans le domaine de la construction (un atout);
• Excellente maîtrise du cycle comptable complet;
• Excellente connaissance des logiciels Word et Excel;
• Connaissance du logiciel Yardi (un atout);
• Bilinguisme français /anglais à l’oral et écrit est essentiel.

Controller (Construction)

THE OPPORTUNITY

This position was newly created to support the team due to the increase in ongoing projects. It’s an exciting time to join Scalia. The role involves managing accounting and tax compliance processes, including the preparation of year-end files for each of Scalia’s entities, and performing various analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly closing process of the accounting books;
• Prepare complex journal entries;
• Prepare internal monthly and quarterly (when applicable) financial statements;
• Manage the year-end closing process and coordinate work with auditors (when applicable);
• Coordinate the preparation of tax filings with external tax advisors and provide information during tax audits;
• Analyze and explain variances between actuals, budget, and forecasts;
• Monitor CAPEX and fixed assets;
• Supervise the activities of the technicians under their responsibility.

COMPETENCIES & APTITUDES

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
• Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, or CGA);
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience;
• Experience in people management;
• Experience in handling and delivering assignments/projects;
• Experience in the construction industry (an asset);
• Excellent command of the full accounting cycle;
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel;
• Knowledge of Yardi software (an asset);
• Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
