About the role
Position Summary This position is primarily focused on the preparation, review, and management of customer documentation packages (Data Books) for pressure equipment, expansion joints, flexible hose assemblies, and related manufactured products. The successful candidate will coordinate the collection, verification, and compilation of quality records including Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance, inspection reports, pressure test records, welding documentation, NDE reports, and other contract-required documentation to ensure complete and accurate customer submissions. In addition to documentation responsibilities, the role will support receiving, in-process, and final inspections, maintain product traceability, and ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO 9001 requirements, and applicable ASME codes and standards. This role will mainly be focused on documentation control, data book preparation, record verification, and customer document submissions, while supporting inspection and quality assurance activities.
Primary Focus: Documentation Control & Data Book Preparation Prepare, compile, review, and issue final customer documentation packages (Data Books). Collect and verify MTRs, Certificates of Compliance, inspection reports, pressure test records, heat treatment records, NDE reports, welding records, calibration certificates, and other quality records required by contract. Review customer purchase orders, specifications, ITPs, and engineering drawings to determine documentation requirements. Verify completeness, accuracy, revision status, and traceability of all documentation prior to shipment. Maintain document indexes and transmittal records for customer submissions. Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality personnel to obtain required documents and resolve discrepancies. Prepare electronic and hard-copy documentation submissions and respond to customer documentation inquiries. Inspection & Quality Responsibilities Assist Sr. Quality Inspectors with receiving, in-process, and final inspections. Verify product traceability and material identification. Review work orders, drawings, and inspection plans for compliance. Support NCRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications High School Diploma required. College Diploma or Technical Certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Document Control, Manufacturing Administration, or Quality Inspection. Experience preparing customer Data Books, turnover packages, or manufacturing record books is strongly preferred. Key Skills & Competencies – Documentation Control Strong understanding of document control principles, revision management, and record retention requirements. Experience compiling and reviewing customer documentation packages, Data Books, and Manufacturing Record Books. Ability to verify completeness, accuracy, traceability, and revision status of quality records. Knowledge of MTRs, Certificates of Compliance, pressure test reports, welding records, NDE reports, inspection reports, and calibration certificates. Ability to interpret customer specifications, purchase orders, engineering drawings, and ITPs. Experience maintaining document indexes, transmittal logs, and controlled quality records. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, PDF editing, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and electronic filing systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 document control requirements. Familiarity with ASME Code documentation and material traceability requirements.
Shift: Split shift - Days/Afternoons - Monday to Friday
