Job Purpose
Oversee and facilitate the coordination of operational aspects for both cargo and warehouse services ensuring superior customer service with timely and accurate shipping and receiving functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hold title and responsibility as Dangerous Goods Coordinator.
- Oversee all Cargo Service activities for scheduled services including Cargo Pick-Up & Delivery.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure SMS and OHS policies are upheld.
- Build rapport with the customer base and focus on providing a personal, positive customer experience; coordinate customer appreciation efforts (events and activities).
- Monitor warehouse operations and ensure safe work practices.
- Oversee regular and irregular operations to ensure we are meeting demand and shipment delivery SLA timelines.
- Maintain team morale and a positive work environment.
- Monitor staff performance and provide timely feedback.
- Aid the frontline team when operationally needed.
- Assist staff with understanding and adherence to Company policy and regulations.
- Prepare and deliver staff performance reviews.
- Mitigate escalated customer complaints,
- Oversee the freight search efforts including accurate record keeping and procedures for any prohibited goods found.
- Complete scheduling ensuring to plan for daily coverage and employee leave including vacation and personal leave; complete all payroll activities including actioning time away requests and review and approval of time sheets.
- Ensure staff the facilities remain tidy by assisting staff in the cleanup and maintenance of their workspace including the cargo office and warehouse, implement organizational systems as required.
- Provide coverage for other leadership positions within Scheduled Services
