About the role
The Opportunity
As our Property Painter, your main focus will be to complete high-quality painting and finishing work across our properties, contributing to the overall satisfaction and comfort of our residents. You’ll ensure all painting, patching, and minor repair work is performed efficiently, safely, and to company standards.
Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:
- Performing painting, patching, and surface preparation for units and common areas, both during occupancy and resident turnovers;
- Completing drywall repairs and touch-ups as required;
- Assisting with minor maintenance and light repairs (basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical as needed);
- Maintaining general upkeep of the properties to ensure all areas are clean, presentable, and in good condition;
- Responding to maintenance requests and completing approved work orders promptly;
- Taking initiative when corrective action is necessary and removing any identified hazards;
- Supporting landscaping and general property care duties as required;
- Ensuring proper disposal of garbage and debris from work areas;
- Ensuring a thorough knowledge and understanding of all health, safety, and emergency procedures; and
- Completing other related duties as required and within the scope of the role.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience in residential or commercial painting, including preparation, patching, and finishing work;
- Working knowledge and experience in light maintenance tasks (basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work);
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office for tracking work orders and communications.
Additional Information:
- Must have own vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract;
- Must have the tools necessary to complete all tasks;
- May be required to participate in an after-hours rotational emergency response team;
- Weekend hours may be required.
