Full-Time Motorcoach Dispatcher - Red Arrow & Ebus Office Location: 15213 112 Avenue Edmonton, AB Full-time Permanent | Health & Dental Benefits | Discounted Travel Perks | $23.80 per/hour | Rotating Shift Work
Operations Start Here! As Dispatcher, you’ll manage day-of-service operations for our Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario fleet, plan and dispatch operator/vehicle assignments, track route performance, and resolve incidents promptly. You’ll coordinate with Ticket Office staff, the Shop, and Supervisors to maintain safety compliance and schedule reliability in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Execute daily operator-to-vehicle assignments and dispatch. Monitor routes, fleet status, and operator availability; respond immediately to issues to meet service requirements and uphold safety policies. Coordinate operators, supervisors, and vehicles by processing and relaying instructions via computer-aided dispatch and communications systems. Answer phones and support Ticket Office staff with accurate, timely information for customers/passengers and internal teams. Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve passenger issues promptly. Assist the Charter department in scheduling equipment and operators to fulfill charter bookings as needed.
What We’re Looking For
1–2 years’ experience in logistics and/or transportation dispatch preferred Proven problem-solving ability and decisiveness in a busy operations setting; strong memory/recall Ability to handle stressful situations with composure Organized with proven time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite Ability to produce a clear background check screening Strong organizational skills, including time management, multitasking, and staying calm in a fast-paced environment (high volume of emails, calls, and inquiries) Previous customer service experience is preferred
Bonus Points
General knowledge of Alberta, BC, and Ontario highway networks are considered an asset. Previous dispatch or forward-facing customer service experience. Certificate or diploma in Office Administration (or related field) preferred. Experience in a unionized, culturally diverse environment considered an asset.
Schedule
This position follows an 11-hour rotating shift schedule, alternating between day and night shifts:

Day shift: 04:00–15:00

Night shift: 13:00–00:00
The rotation is as follows: 3 days on - 2 days off | 2 days on - 3 days off | 2 days on - 2 days off, for a total of 7 shifts every 2 weeks.
Please note that the training period will follow the same rotation, with adjusted hours of 07:00–18:00.
