What can you expect from this position?
In this role, reporting within the Finance team, you will support a variety of financial initiatives across the organization. This student position is designed to be flexible and developmental, offering exposure to multiple areas of Finance depending on business needs and team priorities.
Potential areas of support may include financial reporting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and analytics and modeling. This role is ideal for a student interested in learning how finance enables strategic decision-making and operational excellence in a complex environment.
As a Student, Finance you will:
- Compile, analyze, and organize financial and operational data for reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Assist with financial reporting processes and monthly or quarterly deliverables.
- Contribute to analytics and financial models that support planning and business decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance team members on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide general support to the Finance team with ad hoc analysis, documentation, and administrative tasks.
This is the role for you, if you have:
- Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools and familiarity with Power BI.
- The ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
