Description: The Recreation Assistant plans, organizes and promotes a variety of meaningful recreation, leisure and social activities for clients, based on the clients' interests and abilities. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to obtain a valid Class 4 driver’s license and indicate details of this within the resume or cover letter. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications to support effective communication, documentation, and scheduling within the care environment. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and an approach that is compassionate, patient, and respectful.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recreation Therapy Assistant Diploma is preferred. Recent experience supporting recreational programming in long term care, supportive living or assisted living. Experience with Connect Care.
