About the role

Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for its head office in Saint-Laurent. A leader in the distribution of food packaging, janitorial supplies, printing paper, and equipment across North America, the company is experiencing sustained growth and has a strong presence in Canada. With over 1,500 employees and 35 locations nationwide, our client offers a dynamic environment where employees contribute directly to the organization’s performance and success.

In this role, you will join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and act as a business partner to the sales and operations teams. You will be responsible for producing strategic financial analyses, supporting budgeting processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial tools and systems.

Main Responsibilities:

-       Support sales and operations leaders across Canada, including acquisitions.

-       Prepare and interpret profitability analyses by client.

-       Produce various monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports.

-       Analyze and interpret financial statements.

-       Develop detailed reports to provide clear insights into results and performance indicators.

-       Assist the FP&A Manager in responding to requests from various departments.

-       Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial results during month-end closings.

-       Perform variance analysis against budget, forecasts, and prior-year results.

-       Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of profitability analysis tools.

-       Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

-       Develop and optimize reporting systems to improve operational efficiency.

-       Participate in special projects and provide financial recommendations.

-       Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements:

-       Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

-       Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.

-       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-       Fluency in both French and English is required (approximately 50% of interactions conducted in English with clients outside Quebec across Canada).

-       Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.

-       Knowledge of Power BI (strong asset).

-       Experience with ERP implementation projects (asset).

Salary: Starting at $75,000 per year and above, depending on experience
Schedule: Daytime, full-time, 40 hours per week
Status: Permanent
