In this role, you will proactively develop and maintain a strong expertise for your assigned product portfolio. You communicate and manage campaign projects with multiple stakeholders, to ensure programs are launched to market effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for growing the market share for a specific product line through strategic campaign planning across our product portfolio in support of aggressive objectives.
You have worked in a fast-paced environment that requires quick turnarounds, are knowledgeable using project management software, are a strategic and innovative thinker, and have developed and executed on marketing strategies for a large organization within critical timelines. You are passionate about project management, are creative and driven by cohesive marketing storytelling, and have a genuine desire to see his/her team succeed in achieving their full potential.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Lead the development of marketing campaigns for various product lines from a strategic, media and creative standpoint
- Launch and develop marketing strategies for new routes, new products and ancillaries
- Develop, manage and lead the production of marketing campaigns for B2C and B2B audiences:
- Propose marketing strategies including tactical mix, channel mix and messaging strategy
- Build communication plans, creative briefs and workback schedules
- Contribute to resource allocation
- Organize and lead kick-off meetings
- Review creative assets to ensure alignment with brand and campaign objectives
- Coordinate internal and external approvals as well as implementation steps
- Communicate with project stakeholders to inform them of progress, challenges, blockers and re-evaluate deadlines when necessary
- Deliver final assets on time and as per brief
- Monitor, analyze, and report back on campaign results, demonstrating campaign ROI, deriving actionable insights to continually improve effectiveness of future campaigns.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative research to understand competitors, customer perception, behaviour and insights
- Ensure the continuity and cohesion between the various marketing campaigns across product lines
- Collaborate efficiently and communicate on a regular basis with multiple internal and external partners to ensure alignment and proper prioritization (e.g. Creative, Copywriting, Consumer Growth and Engagement, Email Marketing, E-commerce, RM, Sales, Social Media)
- Ensure brand guidelines are respected throughout all touchpoints
- Act as a marketing subject matter expert to the business
- Contribute to identify and implement process improvements
- Act as a marketing & branding advocate and contribute to a positive customer journey
- Actively monitor market trends and contribute to ongoing competition benchmark
- Liaise with Air Canada for cross-promotional opportunities
- Support sales-specific initiatives requiring additional support (e.g. global material for product launches, trade breakfasts, new trade)
- Collaborate with Air Canada’s legal team to obtain clearance and approvals prior to each campaign launch
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- University degree in Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 4-5 years relevant marketing experience
- Experience working in an advertising agency an asset
- Retail marketing experience an asset
- Experience in the travel industry an asset
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Bilingual oral and written communication skills required (English and French)
- Strong ability to adapt quickly, work independently, manage priorities and work under pressure
- Excellent team spirit, positive attitude, interpersonal and listening skills
- Proactivity, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Creativity, curiosity, and appetite to challenge the status quo
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Experience working with Jira project management system an asset
- Strong program and project management skills
- Data driven and proficiency in pulling and using data to make informed decisions
