About the role
We are looking for a Guidewire Functional Analyst to join our digital transformation team in the insurance sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing business needs, designing solutions, and optimizing processes using the Guidewire platform (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter).
You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and quality assurance teams to deliver high-performing solutions that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
Analyze, document, and validate business requirements. Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with users and stakeholders. Write functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Design functional solutions aligned with Guidewire capabilities. Participate in the configuration and evolution of Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter). Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements. Perform impact analyses and recommend best practices. Support functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities. Ensure traceability between business needs, functional requirements, and deliverables. Participate in Agile activities (refinement, planning, demonstration, retrospective).
Requirements
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in functional analysis. Significant experience with the Guidewire platform. Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following modules: Guidewire PolicyCenter Guidewire ClaimCenter Guidewire BillingCenter Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience in writing functional documentation. Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
Assets
Guidewire Certification. Experience with Guidewire Cloud. Knowledge of REST/SOA API integrations. Experience in migration or digital transformation within the insurance sector. Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
