This role offers a competitive base salary range of $165,000 to $180,000+ annually, reflecting our commitment to recognizing top talent. Additional incentives include an annual performance bonus and premium compensation for select shifts. Final salary will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and alignment with the role.

Job Description:
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of Mining Engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Maintain a hands-on leadership style with a strong on-site presence, actively participating in the work and demonstrating commitment.
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans aligned with production requirements and safety practices.
- Optimize maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
- Enhance preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance processes to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Partner with production and planning teams to align maintenance activities with production requirements.
- Collaborate on the implementation and optimization of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS).
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities, analyzing trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to both Finning leadership and customer management.
- Demonstrate the value of Finning's services through tangible performance improvements and cost savings, maintaining professional leadership and credibility.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to enhance maintenance practices and adopt innovative solutions.
- Work with Finning and Caterpillar teams to implement cost-saving practices and support the mining operations of key customer accounts.
Qualifications:
- Degree in related field, or 10+ years in mining operations.
- 5+ years leading Mine Maintenance teams with a track record of performance improvement.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental policies.
- Expertise in mining operations and project management.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with mining software and automation technologies.
- Positive mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity.
- Collaborative, responsive, and service-oriented approach.
- Strong sense of urgency and excellent time management.
Note:
- This position is based out of our Fort McMurray office location.
- Permanent, full-time role.
- 5 x 2, Monday – Friday shift.
