Parkland County has an opportunity for a temporary, part-time Procurement Clerk position in the Finance department, working until approximately December 2026. Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Services, the Procurement Clerk will perform duties which include procurement and materials management services for client departments, document preparation, records management, support and general administration duties pertaining to Procurement Services. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, writing and research skills with the demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent with some post-secondary coursework in clerical, administrative, supply chain management or related field.
- General understanding of supply chain principles.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Pro is required.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on quality control.
- Experience with financial (enterprise resource planning) software would be considered an asset.
- Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License. A current Driver’s Abstract must be provided.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
A rate of $28.02 per hour, working approximately 21 hours per week.
