Our services include Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) Construction, Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, General Contracting, and Specialty Contracting. Our primary markets are Energy, with a focus on renewables, and Automotive, with a focus on electric vehicle technology. We self-perform several trades with an emphasis on electrical construction, including medium and high voltage systems. We build it safe, no exceptions. Position Summary Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and ensure accurate and timely reporting on multiple large scale construction projects. This position is considered an integral role with the expectation of direct experience and education in construction and accounting, strong analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is an asset.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in project accounting in the construction industry is required.
  • Strong financial management acumen: advanced knowledge of accounting procedures and protocols, budget administration, financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting
  • Proven high degree of accuracy, effective time management, strong organizational skills
  • Relevant understanding of construction management principles and processes
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong skills in Box, Jonas Construction (an asset) or other ERP experience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and work under pressure
  • Results-oriented and ability to take initiative
