JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE: KML Windows Inc., a division of Andersen Corporation, is currently seeking an afternoon shift Manufacturing Associate II – CNC Bender. The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring that the CNC Machine properly bends aluminum into the correct pre-programmed sizes & shapes. The Bending machining center position is responsible for all bends for the assembly value streams. The Operator will be responsible for maintaining set Quality Standards for Material and Machining.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate the CNC Bender in a safe and productive manner, including set-up, measuring, loading rollers, and preparing CNC machine for manufacturing runs. Perform maintenance to ensure safe and proper operation of the machine. Load instruction programs into the computer/machine for operation of machine. Understand & implement adjustments to programs to achieve required outcomes. Load material on machine and off onto the table. Understanding and programming the proper machining methods and provide input into how the machine may best be utilized. Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning. Participate in defining and improving standard work. Assist with training co-workers. Support a respectful workplace. Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.
Able to work scheduled overtime if needed with notice
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Good understanding of bending techniques would be a definite asset. Proficient with various setups daily. Proven ability to understand and adhere to all process controls as documented (SWDs, JBAs, CPs). Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations. Ability to interpret drawings and dimensions. Possess strong teamwork, organization, problem solving, and leadership skills. Basic working knowledge of computer functions and keyboarding. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) & able to take instruction/direction well. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to complete work on schedule & able to work under pressure. Dependability/punctuality. Demonstrates a cheerful outlook with the ability to interact effectively with other departments. Elevated level of attention to detail. Proven ability to work independently.
Wage Range: $26.08 - $27.95
Shift: 4:00pm – 2:30am, Monday to Thursday. This is a new position.
