About the role

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate, Wealth Management to join the team in Newcastle. The Associate will assist with the day-to-day administration for the team, completing a range of administration tasks as requested to support team activities.

A key part of the role would entail aspects such as support to the wealth managers, digital adoption, actively developing subject knowledge on wealth management, client advise processes and industry.

RBC’s expectation is that from September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Assist, support, and work under supervision of a senior wealth colleague.
  • Collates and verifies the accuracy of the information and work provided.
  • Support wealth colleagues with all aspects of client support and assist in preparation of reviews and client documentation.
  • Developing knowledge on breadth of investment, lending, cash, and trust solutions and begins to build knowledge through exposure to client support.
  • Information giver: providing client with information and not advice.
  • Supports business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
  • Aware of the office business plans and develops understanding to supports the team in achieving overall objectives.
  • Complete all works according to procedure and standards.

Must-have

  • Minimal experience required
  • Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines/work within restricted timescales.
  • Flexible and reliable team member.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to achieve required results.
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to work.

Nice-to-have

  • Previous administration experience within financial services.
