Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: HPRO 2255: Substance Use Drug Policy and Harm Reduction. The course will be offered in the Fall Term, from September 1st, 2026 – December 31st, 2026. NOTE: This is an in-person course.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. The course will be taught using Brightspace (LMS- learning management system) and in-person on the Halifax Campus for the fall term. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparation in advance of the term. The Part time academic may consider offering office hours outside of class time.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Graduate degree in Kinesiology, Health Promotion or Recreation and Leisure Studies with demonstrated teaching ability preferred.

Salary Range/Pay Rate

Per CUPE Collective Agreement
