Job Summary Our Facilities & Property Management Division is looking for a Space Planning Co-op to work on some interesting projects.
You will be part of a team of engaging, enthusiastic and dedicated people who are committed to collaborating with one another to deliver on our commitment to the residents, visitors and businesses of Mississauga.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Basic Function: Providing a design drafting service for space accommodation
- Produce space accommodation plans and office layout to meet user needs
- Assist in the co-ordination and delivery of furniture
- Utilize computer aided design drafting (CAD) systems in carrying out job responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining filing system of space planning drawings and the space planning library
- Calculate quantities of material and area calculations for estimating purposes
- Investigate field conditions of proposed projects, take measurements and prepare field sketches
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills And Qualifications
- Must be registered in a recognized University/College Architectural Technology or Interior Design Co-op program
- Experience using C.A.D. drafting systems preferred
- Knowledge of space accommodation plans/designs
- Experience conducting field update sketches
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Hourly Rate/Salary: 20.29 - 24.11
Hours of Work: 35
Work Location: Civic Centre - 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga
Work Model: This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be onsite in the office 3 days per week and allowing remote work for the remaining days. Specific in-office days may be set by the team or department to support collaboration and business needs.
