Job Description & Requirements

APPLIED TECHNOLOGY, 0.500 FTE

We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:

• A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for certification in the Province of Manitoba.
• Demonstrated ability to instruct technical communication, problem solving, information management, personal and production skills in a variety of formats (still image, video, animation, and emerging technologies).
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• Previous successful high school teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional language learners.
• Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in implementing a quality program.

BUSINESS EDUCATION, 0.500 FTE

We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:

• A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
• A major in Business Education, and a strong scholastic/academic background.
• Demonstrated ability to instruct Business Education at the high school level.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Experience with provincial curriculum and programming in career programming and community work experiences.
• Experience in establishing and monitoring work experience placements in the community.

Preference will be given to candidate****s who possess:

• Previous successful high school teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional Language learners.
• Experience with "E” sheltered content area programming.
• Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.
• Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in implementing a quality program.
