About the role

Senior Materiel Management Specialist - Contract - 18654 About The Opportunity Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior Materiel Management specialist to support life-cycle management activities for deployable and domestic wheeled support vehicles for the Canadian Armed Forces. This role will work closely with DSVPM teams and support fleet acquisition, in-service, and disposal activities.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

(Requirement 1 – Acquisition and transition)

  • Prepare technical statements of requirements and draft specifications and purchasing descriptions
  • Prepare, modify or update Technical Instructions and Orders
  • Perform analysis of maintenance, repair and overhaul plans
  • Prepare data for initial provisioning and repair parts scaling
  • Prepare documents and submissions for cataloguing and material Identification activities

(Requirement 2 – In-service support)

  • Prepare, modify or update technical data used in the identification of DND equipment and material
  • Prepare documents and submissions for cataloguing and material Identification amendments

(Requirement 3 – Disposal)

  • Prepare supporting documentation for fleet declarations of surplus or completed DND 1303s for partial declarations of surplus
  • Prepare supporting documentation for fleet disposal plans or completed DND 4001s for partial disposal of parts, components and associated equipment
  • Execute DRMIS transactions in support of disposal activities (Based on: Annex A – Statement of Work)

About You The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of three years of experience, within the past seven years, as a Life Cycle Materiel Manager (LCMM) for Standard Military Pattern vehicles
  • Experience must include support for vehicles and parts acquisition, R&O coordination, and usage for future purchases
  • Experience must include organizing and maintaining technical data using systems such as SharePoint, RDIMS, and DRMIS
  • Must have 18 months of experience in support of cataloguing, initial provisioning, and materiel management for military vehicles
  • Experience must include the creation of Change Requests in the MDG Material Identification interface, including new part numbers and modifications
  • Must meet English Essential requirements at Advanced level for written, comprehension and oral
  • Must have a valid Secret security clearance
