Your Role as an Intern Architect:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As the Intern Architect, your role will include:

  • Working on-site everyday and managing incoming and/or outgoing project tasks during the construction phase of the project.
  • Coordinating with Housing Project Manager, Consultants and General Contractors to track project schedules, as well as being responsible for the submission of deliverables.
  • Conducting field reviews and contract administration duties, including populating and updates to various logs/schedules such as daily site reviews, weekly progress reports and progress payments.
  • Writing and reviewing reports, specifications, and other engineering documents to ensure adherence to contract documents and quality standards.
  • Applying the following skills and knowledge in everyday work:
    • Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and 3D modelling, with knowledge of primary programs in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
    • Strong conceptual design skills in 2D and 3D formats.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, along with keen attention to detail and observational skills.
    • A thorough understanding of building envelope systems for cold climates in Canada.
    • Knowledge of materials and methods and their applications.

This posting is a contract secondment opportunity, estimated to start September 2025 and end in May 2026.
