HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT🎯

  • Provide visionary clinical leadership and ensure accountability for the program’s curriculum and ABA practices.
  • Deliver both expert consultation and direct services to clients with social-emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Lead the planning, development, and coordination of behaviour service plans, supervising smooth implementation in collaboration with Clinical Supervisors and Program Managers.
  • Oversee the approach to therapy within services to ensure they align with provincial guidelines, agency values and professional standards.
  • Regularly assess and monitor treatment programs to best meet the needs of the children and families, while proactively identifying challenges or gaps in services, policies or procedures.
  • Actively contribute to interdisciplinary teams, clinics, committees, and working groups.
  • Ensure that record keeping (e.g., behavioural assessments, progress notes, curriculum and program documentation, treatment conclusion and contact notes, as well as supervision records) is current and completed.
  • Ensure all incidents of a serious nature are reported in accordance with legislation, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and agency requirements.
  • Lead dynamic workshops, webinars, and professional learning sessions, while creating valuable resource materials for children, youth, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate closely with partner clinicians in sessions to support children and youth in therapy readiness and social-emotional development, while providing short-term mediator-model training to empower caregivers with effective home strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING🎓

  • Post-secondary education in Social Services or a related field.
  • A Board Registered Behaviour Analyst and current CPR/BCLS certification is required.
  • Minimum of two years direct clinical ABA experience working with children with Autism.
  • Supervisory experience in behaviour programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct child assessments, develop program curriculum and conduct evaluations to determine effectiveness and appropriateness of service delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and the impact of social-emotional and behavioural concerns.
  • The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, families and the greater public, and to relate to young children and their parents in arbitrating difficult situations.
  • Proficiency with computers is essential.
  • Have access to a vehicle, a driver’s license, appropriate insurance, and the ability to travel throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures of the organizations, including vaccination requirements.
