The Engineering and Plant Services department is responsible for providing building operation services including managing and executing all maintenance, construction and renovations projects within the hospital.

Responsibilities:

The Project Engineering & Energy Department at Unity Health Toronto has an exciting opportunity for an independent self-starter to assist with the implementation of the Sustainability Program at Unity Health.

Key Skills Responsibilities:

• Comfortable using and working with MS Excel
• Work with the Project Engineering team to ensure items are cataloged correctly in the Engineering Library
• Consolidate sets of As-Built drawings (architectural, electrical, mechanical) for the main hospital wings
• Update policies and procedures related to the Sustainability Program including preparing content for the internal and external websites
• Prepare communications and presentations as required to update the key stakeholders on the progress and status of the project
• Prepare communications articles and reports related to the Sustainability Program
• Assist with compiling information that is required for the submissions of various regulatory reporting requirements
• Assist in the planning and coordinating of engagement events to support the Sustainability Program
• Assist with the preparation and submission of grant applications related to Sustainability projects and initiatives
• Recommend areas for improvement for the Engineering Library system

Qualifications:

• Must have completed at least one year of university/college and returning to school on a full-time basis in

  September 2026

• Must be 18 years of age at time of hire.

• Strong organization skills with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work with efficient turnaround time.

• Demonstrated excellence in problem solving, and interpersonal competence and critical thinking.

• Strong customer service orientation with proven ability to interact with others.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the Mission and Values of Unity Health.

• Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
