Program Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit).
  • Complete a Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug test if the role is considered safety sensitive.

Your Opportunity at SECURE:

The Sales Student will work closely with the Sales and Operations teams, providing support with day-to-day sales and marketing activities while gaining valuable exposure to the full sales cycle.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop business, communication, and organizational skills in a dynamic corporate environment.

This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta

The Team:

Our Sales team collaborates closely with Operations, maintaining a supportive and engaging work culture where learning and teamwork are encouraged.

A Day in The Life:

  • Assist in coordinating sales team activities by helping manage schedules, documents, and communications.
  • Support the planning and organization of industry events, such as trade shows, workshops, and client events.
  • Help prepare and review sales-related materials, proposals, and presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining records, reports, and customer engagement summaries.
  • Work with the Marketing team to support the design and preparation of promotional and marketing materials.
  • Participate in the organization of Lunch & Learn sessions and other client engagement activities.
  • Gain exposure to market and competitor research.
  • Provide general administrative support, including tracking inquiries, filing documents, and helping prepare purchase requests.
  • Learn and promote SECURE’s strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Take on other student projects and assignments as needed.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program, ideally in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in sales, marketing, or client engagement is an asset.
  • A commitment to safety and professional conduct.
