About the role

Position Summary

Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking an experienced Coordinator, Cyber Security Education & Awareness to join our Information Management Information Security department.

In accordance with the established vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Coordinator, Cyber Security Education & Awareness, is a key member of the Information Security team. The Coordinator is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and delivering a comprehensive cyber security education & awareness program for Northern Health Authority employees and providers across the organization that supports the vision and goals of the IMIT department. The Coordinator participates in program and service delivery planning, implementation, investigations, compliance auditing and reporting requirements.

Starting salary will be approximately from $74,618 to $93,273 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IMIT or similar field with an emphasis on end user training and a minimum of three (3) years related experience preferably in a healthcare field.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training & experience.

  • Experience in training, developing educational material and coaching staff.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of computer-based education platforms and ability to apply them effectively.

  • Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and training, commitment to operating within a team environment, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.

  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated skills in public speaking, presentation and facilitation.

  • Ability to conduct research and gather information using a variety of methods.

  • Ability to prepare written reports.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a variety of information systems, cyber security concepts, MS Office, spreadsheets, and graphics.

  • Ability to apply project management methodologies for project based work.

  • A demonstrated clear pattern of professional development.

  • Valid Canadian driver’s license equivalent to a BC Class 5 driver’s license.

  • Willingness and ability to travel.

  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
