About the Job
Looking for a hands-on role where your work truly makes a difference? As a driver/technician you are responsible for exhibiting excellent customer service as it relates to collection and cleaning of grease trap equipment. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently, take pride in safe operations, and want to be part of a company committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We offer various early morning shift options with an expectation of 44-hour work weeks (Overtime after 44 hours). All shifts start and end at your home base allowing you to go home at the end of every shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure the safe operation of vehicles and equipment
- Responsible for performing collection of preprocessed product, grease trap cleaning and deliveries of processed product to customers
- Adhere to superior safety culture and work in a healthy and safe manor
- Promote and drive health, safety, legislative and regulatory policies and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and contribute where appropriate to continual improvement of work processes and procedures
- Able to perform routine vehicle maintenance and identify deficiencies in performance which will be reported to fleet maintenance Work scheduled shifts with flexibility for occasional overtime when required
Here’s What You Need
- High school graduation or (GED)
- Knowledge of MTO regulations, customer service experience
- Valid Ontario D class Driver’s License (or higher)
- Clean driver’s abstract and criminal background check
- Certified Professional Driver Safety Training Course Certificate
- Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safe, responsible work
