ISL is seeking a well-rounded Surveyor to join our Lethbridge team and support transportation, municipal, and bridge projects that make a visible impact in the region.
This role offers variety, hands-on field experience, and the opportunity to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects both locally and across ISL, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys practical work, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a well-rounded surveyor with an ability to be involved in all phases of our transportation, municipal, and bridge projects. Your projects will primarily be located in the Lethbridge area, but you will have the opportunity to work on multi-disciplinary projects across all ISL offices. You enjoy being outside and are prepared to work on active construction sites and are always prepared for varying weather conditions. You are flexible and are comfortable working increased hours during the construction season.

While no two days will look the same, the successful candidate can expect to:
- Use survey instruments including GPS, Total Station, and level to perform field surveys for a variety of transportation, municipal, and bridge projects.
- Work with ISL’s Project Managers and Contractors to complete construction stake-out, quantity verification, and as-constructed surveys.
- Prepare survey field notes, sketches, and other written records on a daily basis.
- Perform basic maintenance of the survey field equipment and understand its operation.
- Remain current in the latest survey knowledge, techniques, and practices.
- Assist with various design and drafting tasks as required.
- Keep company survey vehicles and equipment in good condition.

Your Resume Must Display
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering Technology, or Civil Design Technology. Soon to be graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- 2+ years of relevant survey experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Your level of proficiency with Civil 3D/AutoCAD for processing survey data.
- Computer skills and experience with standard Microsoft software.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license (or equivalent) and be willing to travel to project sites within southern Alberta (company vehicle provided).
Assets
- Transportation, municipal and/or bridge engineering design and drafting experience.
- Aerial drone, laser scanner, and/or bathymetric survey experience.
- Experience with Trimble survey products and software.
- Construction inspection experience.
