Here's what you'll be doing
This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Exterior Detailing:
-
- Wash, wax, and buff vehicles.
- Remove tar, grease, and other contaminants from the exterior surfaces.
- Apply protective finishes to ensure a lasting shine.
- Clean and polish wheels, tires, chrome, and trim.
- Interior Detailing:
-
- Thoroughly vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, and upholstery.
- Clean dashboards, consoles, windows, and mirrors.
- Remove stains, odors, and pet hair.
- Apply protective treatments to upholstery and interior surfaces.
- Inspection and Reconditioning:

- Inspect vehicle for damage, imperfections, or other detailing needs.
- Report any issues to the supervisor for further action.
- Perform minor touch-ups such as paint correction or scratch removal.
- Inspect and quote detailing repairs on exterior or interior compartments for customers and internal vehicles.
- Quality Assurance:
-
- Ensure each vehicle is detailed to dealership and manufacturer standards before delivery to the customer or display on the sales floor.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure all work meets or exceeds expectations.
- Maintenance and Equipment Handling:
-
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing bays, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Other Duties:
-
- Assist with moving and organizing vehicles on the lot as needed.

You need these qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of vehicle cleaning products, tools, and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety measures needed when using cleaning products.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 kgs and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, standing, and kneeling.
- Primarily works in a garage setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- May require extended periods of standing and physical exertion.
It would be nice if
- You have previous experience in automotive detailing.
- You are meticulous and motivated.
- You have experience mentoring junior technicians

Downtown Autogroup (DAG) is a collection of 10 automobile sales and service facilities representing 12 of the most respected brands in the automotive world.
Founded by Shahin Alizadeh in the early 90's, DAG has grown from a single Toyota dealership to a group with over four-hundred employees. We pride ourselves on creating a positive work environment with competitive pay and benefits and opportunities for advancement.
