##Key Responsibilities

  • Operate small equipment such as a lawnmower, string trimmer, hand sprayer, leaf blower, edger, pressure washer
  • Install new plant material and mulch
  • Apply pesticides on campus under the supervision of the Authorized Pesticide applicator
  • Road repair and garbage removal
  • Garden maintenance such as weeding, pruning, dead heading, and watering
  • Clean vehicles and equipment
  • Other duties as needed

##Job Requirements

  • Work in various weather events such as heat, cold, rain, and wind

  • Able to work in a physically challenging environment which includes heavy lifting, long periods of standing, bending, walking, shoveling, and raking; operating equipment that causes vibration

  • Mechanical ability would be an asset

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Positive attitude and a safety mindset

##Additional Information

This is a Student AUPE appointment at the Lloydminster campus commencing May 4, 2026, and ending August 28, 2026, working a 40-hour work week. The current wage is $15.00/hr

All candidates must meet the criteria of the Canada Youth Employment Funding criteria: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
